1964 HITS ARCHIVE: Midnight Mary - Joey Powers 10/13/2024

Song of the Week for October 13-19, 2024. "Midnight Mary" by Joey Powers. This was a top ten hit in Early 1964, when I was eleven years old, 60 years ago. I heard it on Sirius in my car. Apparently it's about dating an Iranian young lady named Jamela who always had her bodyguards with her. I guess Jamella had too many syllables and they snuck off to meet at Midnight. Who knew? Emjoy!!
