This is such a great example of what your natural lashes should look like after having lash extensions. New growth, adolescent lashes, and mature lashes. This means there is ZERO damage to the natural lash.

She has been getting lashes for almost 2 years, without a break, or a new set. A great lash artist will never damage your lashes.

Here are the warning signs that you need to find a new artist:

1- Your lashes hurt or feel heavy - this means they are too heavy, and they are pulling out your natural lashes.

2- You can have any length you want - this just isnt realistic unless you have extremely long natural lashes.

3- You need a new set (but your lashes are still full) This almost always means that they are so stuck together at the bases that they need to remove and start fresh. Massive warning for lash damage.

4- Your having a reaction to pre-made fans, and you need handmade fans - Lol... umm nope. Your having a reaction to the glue, which can happen to anyone at any time. This is not a lash or technician error, just a sensitivity issue.

5- You are not given any aftercare instructions, maintenance instructions, told how to wash them, what products you can or cannot use etc... - This is just inexperience. An experienced artist goes over everything in detail so your lashes can remain healthy, and they last until your next appointment.

6- You loose all your lashes within a week. There are too many reasons to list for this one. Most of the responsibility is on your technician and #5 listed above. Unless it has to do with a medication like Accutane, or your using oil based products (big no-no) then your lashes should be at minimum 50% for your 2 week fill.

Once again, I'm seeing all of this coming into my boutique and with the rise of new artists, education and experience is essential to protecting your lash health. If your having any of these issues I would encourage you to seek a new artist.
