Massage for horses just like humans improves movement and flexibility. Massage for a horse can greatly improve their state of mind as well as their willingness to perform for their riders. It's a wonderful way to give back to a horse who does so much for their owners everyday. Ideally a horse should have a massage once a month but if the horse is experiencing soreness or lameness which could be caused by sore muscles not an injury to the leg than the horse should have more frequent massages until the condition improves.
