Her aunt (Freddie Smith, of World Vision College of Cosmetology) owned 3 beauty colleges, and inspired Clyther to go to cosmetology school. Going to school part time while working in the computer industry proved challenging, so she began school full time to follow her vision. While on her first job, she met Albert Clayton, who has become her mentor, her brother, her friend, her confidant, and has taught her the real meaning of healthy hair.
