Healthy hair is always ON TREND ✨
I freakin’ love when a client wants to improve their hair quality 🖤 This new client wanted the FULL RESET: she wanted to get away from lightening her hair & cut away all the dry, split ends. We richened up her mids and ends to this gorgeous dark chocolate brown color to work with her natural, creating such a luxurious vibe. Even dropping just 1 level darker (no matter whether you’re blonde, brunette, or red) will elevate your overall color, creating that expensive, luxe look. Then we went for some wispy bangs grazing her eyes, soft face framing layers, and LOTS of internal layers to remove weight and add a ton of soft movement, without feeling “too layered”. I don’t feel this pic captures HOW THICK her hair is! (swipe to see the amount of bulk I removed before the color 😮‍💨). I love me some long hair, don’t get me wrong, but I always want it to have softness & movement so it doesn’t just hang there. The most important place to pay the most attention to is AROUND YOUR FACE! Think of your hair as your frame: where would you like to highlight and draw attention to (eyes, cheekbones, collarbones) where would you like to see more balance (forehead, chin/jawline) and use those to highlight and contour your features. The right kind of layers can bring long hair to life and really show off your best features ✨

I love a clean, simple, classic vibe. To me, it just always feels current, polished, & beautiful. Having basics as my foundation, I can always add a little something to help elevate that look or feel with minimal effort. And I DON’T OVERTHINK THIS! Play with juxtaposition like classic+modern, hard+soft, casual+glam
I love a little Sexy, Girly & Edgy mood in my world, so here’s a few examples of how I do this :
Clothing
•For a simple black outfit (cuz, Duh 😉), I’ll add some gold jewelry for a little glam. Never underestimate what a little accessorizing can do! Even a classic T & jeans with a little necklace & a bracelet or earring, instant ELEVATION!
•Layer a strappy/lacey bralette under my top for a little neckline detail pop. Play with different undergarment styles & don’t be afraid to SHOW ‘EM OFF! Even just a peek! Enjoy that confidence boost with just a little sneaky sexiness. Upgrade those boring bras for a little spice 😈
Hair
•For a PONY or BUN, I’ll shake out some face-framing bits for a more Flirty Vibe, & take a pretty claw clip underneath for a little pony perk. No one likes a limp pony 😈
•Add a BRAID!!! Whether it’s up the side, or a little braid within the pony itself, it’s a DETAIL that makes it look so much more than “throwing your hair up”
•Make a basic braid more interesting by combining different types of braids (like this post’s photo) or combine multiple individual braids for more visual interest.
Decor
•for me, less is more. I love neutrals with pops of texture & contrast. I love mixing materials like marble & woods, raw stone with sleek tile, leather & suede. “Popular colors” come & go, so I prefer to use black & white or metals as my pops of contrast against a neutral base.

Wanna try??? Think of 3 adjectives to describe your Personality or how you want to Feel, and use those as inspo to add that “little somethin’ extra” to your basics.

3 Simple Things for Healthier Hair:
•trims every 6-12weeks based on your daily styling habits (more heat styling= more often trimmage) Once those split ends show up, cutting is the ONLY solution! Take advantage of these hot summer months and opt for a sexy like this one
•use a leave-in treatment ALWAYS. Your ends are so far away from the scalp where it’s higher nutrient source is, so those ends rely on products and care to stay soft, shiny and strong. Use a leave-in that has ingredients that add moisture, strengthen, and protect during heat-styling. If your hair is extra dry/frizzy/damaged, pair it with a treatment serum. You do not need a million products, just a couple great ones!
•anytime you are going to brush your hair when it’s already dry/styled, always apply a little serum to add some slip and protect fragile ends. This will help get through the tangles easier, and reduce breakage. Always start at the ends, and gently work up to your scalp. I love using a wet brush because it’s bristles are so flexible and gentle. Finish with a boar-bristle styling brush to enhance volume and give an added boost of circulation for your scalp.
