🔥 GIRL, YOU’RE 50. YOUR GIFTS DID NOT RETIRE.

SASSY. SOCIAL. SOULFUL.
✨ The Sunday Share ✨

One minute, the world was your oyster.
The next? Life handed you a little hell, some bills, and attitude adjustment.

And you’re standing there asking:
“Lord, why do bad things happen to good people? I was being good AND minding my business!” 👀

By 50, change has become a familiar visitor.
Children grow. Relationships shift. Bodies introduce new policies without consulting us.

Girl, apparently there was a meeting—and we were not invited. 💅🏽

It’s easy to tumble down the rabbit hole:
“Is this all there is?”
“Have I missed my moment?”
“What happened to the woman I used to be?”

🎤 BUT WHAT IF THERE’S MORE OF YOU WAITING TO BE EXPRESSED?

Your gifts.
Your talents.
Your abilities.
That wisdom you earned through situations you would NEVER voluntarily repeat.

You’ve spent years making room for everybody else.
Make a little room for what God placed in YOU.

And if depression and anxiety is part of your story make a move you got this cause you can seek help, hold onto faith, and make room for your gifts—all at the same time. 🤍

Because your pain doesn’t erase your purpose.

You still have style.
You still have attitude.
You still have that Rita Hayworth grace. 💃🏽

And when your own strength runs out, God’s grace can meet you there.

⚡ TAKE YOUR NATURAL.
🙏 PLUG IT INTO GOD’S SUPERNATURAL.
✨ LET YOUR EXPRESSION UNFOLD.

Sing. Write. Teach. Create. Start the conversation. Go on whicha bad self in you got some grove in those gifts!!!
Use the gifts you keep telling yourself you’ll get around to “one day.”

At 50, spaces like this can become a place to find your people—women who can laugh with you, pray with you, and remind you that your story is still unfolding.

💬 What gift are you ready to make room for again?

We lived a whole lot of life before somebody started yelling “MOM!” through the bathroom door. 😂

Some of us started motherhood in our 40s. Some in our 50s. We brought wisdom, life experience, and knees that would appreciate advance notice before getting on the floor. 🤣

We’ve lived and loved long time. And now we love these children hard—from every pore.

Fifty can be fabulous.
Motherhood can be beautiful.
But every moment of the experience? Girl, that is not always fabulous. 😅

We unpack big feelings, friendship drama, fears, disappointments, and conversations we never imagined having.

Meanwhile, our own brains have 47 tabs open—and somebody keeps asking where their socks are.

Our hearts are all in, even when our heads are all over the place.

We do so much without a paycheck, without applause, and sometimes without finishing one hot meal. That love deserves to be noticed. WE deserve to be celebrated.

That’s why we need friendship. A place to set down the heavy stuff, laugh until our shoulders relax, and remember we still have joy and dreams of our own.

So make that drink BIG. Add the fruit, the sparkle, and the umbrella. Something in this family is getting a vacation today. 🍹😂

And by the way, there’s no alcohol in here—so you don’t have to blame it on the alcohol. This much personality came with the package. 💃🏽

Cheers to the friends who already love us—and the friendships still to come.

Let’s grab a drink and celebrate your wins.
✨ Event coming soon.

Tag a girlfriend who deserves a little fabulous this Friday. 🖤💛

Everybody’s got demands. Well, today I have one, too: I want ME back. 👑

🍽️ Dishes calling my name.
🧺 Laundry calling my name.
🚗 “Mom, take me here.”
🛍️ “Mom, can you buy that?”
🙄 “Mom, why didn’t you—”

Baby, before you finish that sentence… what did YOU do? 😂

I feel like a Katie Perry I’m hot. Now I’m cold those darn menopause moments. And on top of that I walked into this room for something, and somebody asking me for something else is NOT helping me remember. 🥵🧊

And apparently, “Mom” now means customer service, transportation, purchasing, and the complaints department.

The department is taking a break.

Then, somewhere between the hot flash and the seventh request, comes a clear thought:

✨ I keep waiting for everybody to give me room. But what choices am I making to create it?

Because I want abundant living. Jesus talked about that. John 10:10. 🌿

But my dreams keep getting whatever time is left after everybody else’s requests.

And girl… there is never any time left.

Then another scripture comes to mind: we’re created in God’s image. Genesis 1:27.

God created. God spoke. God gave commandments.

And here I am struggling to say, “Please put your own plate in the dishwasher.”

Ma’am. 😒😂

What would it look like to reflect His intention in how I live? To speak clearly. Set a boundary. Create something good. Take responsibility for the choices that are mine.

Perhaps I’ve been choosing to be available for every demand—and leaving myself unavailable for my own life.

That realization has a little sting to it. But it also hands me something back:

A choice.

💬 “I love you. My answer is still no.”
💬 “We live here together. We’re sharing the work.”
💬 “Let me finish. What I’m saying matters.”
💬 “I’ve made plans for myself. Please respect them.”

👑 I get to command my time and create room for the woman I’m becoming.

The hormones may have me moody. But this moment? This is clarity.

And I’m paying attention.

That’s the Serenity Shift™ we’re exploring.

It’s a mood.
It’s a choice.
And today, I’m choosing to make room for ME. 💖

👇 What needs a clear command in your house—and what are you ready to create in your life?

Because the you you’ve wanted to been waiting behind the …..But wait.” 😩

You’ve got the website open. Five to ten tabs lined up. You compared prices, picked your favorite color, and you’re finally ready to hit BUY NOW.

But wait… Johnny needs shoes.

But wait… your daughter needs a gym outfit for school.

But wait… didn’t we JUST buy those shoes? How are their feet already in another ZIP code? 👟

Then your car starts making that noise.

Because after years of being the family’s FREE Uber and Lyft driver, your car would like compensation. 🚗💸

You were thinking about a new car. Instead, you’re rebuilding the inside of the one you already have. One repair at a time.

Meanwhile, your cart is still sitting there.

That shirt. That trip. That little something you wanted just because YOU liked it.

And the money you set aside? It’s wearing somebody else’s shoes, sweatshirt, or sports uniform.

You love your family. You also miss having room for yourself.

Your dreams keep getting pushed behind another gas fill-up, another school expense, another “Mom, I need…”

And somewhere between the pickup line and the repair shop, you start thinking:

“Lord, I’m ready for that life more abundantly part. I’ve been ready since yesterday.” 🙌🏽

You want to enjoy the life you’re working so hard to hold together. To make plans for yourself and actually keep them. To give your dreams a place on the calendar—and in the budget.

Because “one day” has been sitting in your cart long enough.

Get into the mood. It’s a whole thing.

What’s the dream you keep putting on hold every time life says, “But wait”? 💛

🚗😂 The question that promoted me to Uber driver: “Mom, can you give me a ride?”

No interview.
No salary negotiation.
Apparently, my benefits package includes somebody’s fries wedged between the seats.

School. Practice. A friend’s house.
“Can we stop for food?”
“Oh, and can you pick us up later?”

I’ve been giving everybody a lift, and it’s all been driving one result: driving me crazy. 😂

Meanwhile, my own plans are still standing at the curb.

Motherhood. Marriage. Menopause.
Somewhere between drop-off and pickup, I need a pause for ME.

💛 I want to drive somewhere else.

Toward a little quiet.
Toward something I enjoy.
Toward a plan that includes my name—and doesn’t require cleats.

Before another passenger announces, “Actually, Mom, we need to pick up three more people.”

If you had one afternoon with no pickups, where would YOU go?

🚪 I love you. Can you use another room?

I NEED SPACE ….

A loving statement.
A clear request.
Possibly the title of my next marriage workshop. 😂

Some days, motherhood, marriage, and menopause leave you craving ten quiet minutes without a question, a video playing at full volume, or someone chewing directly beside your soul.

💛 You can ask kindly for a little space. Try: “I’m taking ten minutes to myself. Then we can talk.”
