Proof, if proof were needed, that I’m a tree hugger. Yesterday one of my student’s herb class was a wander through the forest. We found luminous turkey tail decorating a fallen log, an incredible trillium (I think it’s a Giant Wakerobin, false Solomon’s seal and lots of medicinals including mugwort, plantain, huge dandelions, nettles to sting away the arthritis in my finger, cleavers aplenty, elderflower coming into bud and so much more - even, to my astonishment, a small hawthorn in full flower a full month before May. And, of course, lots of gloriously mossy trees to hug. Did you know I work with herbal students one-on-one and in small groups as a mentor and guide along their herbal path? Thank you to Aatiqa for a magical morning and capturing a pic of me in tree-hugger mode. @ herbs
