Let’s talk about aftercare

One of my highly asked questions is “is this going to damage my lashes if I do it for a long time?”

Now listen, lash lifts are an amazing service but WE ARE DOING A CHEMICAL PROCESS.
🫴🏼✨Aftercare IS Necessary

Think about a time you ran out of conditioner…. How did your hair feel after that shower? Dry? Crunchy? Squeaky? It’s the same with lashes.

This client had her first lash lift December 29th and came back 8 weeks later and her lashes still had most of the curl. When you apply a conditioner like LASH SURGE everyday it keeps the hair hydrated which helps the grow out process and allows you to continuously get lash lifts. I’ve had clients for 5 years who come around every 2 months with no problem. It’s because they follow proper aftercare. I stress this SOOO much which is why I include a LASH SURGE in every clients first appointment.

If my client comes in with 70% (eyeballing this) or more curl left from the previous lift I have them come back in.

I want to talk about how I handle a client who comes in with either gaps in there lashes or cut lashes.

Now this specific client came in for brows and we talked about a lash lift. When looking at her lashes I noticed this large portion of cut lashes.

First things first: I ask if they use a lash curler. Most likely when the lashes are cut in half it’s from a lash curler incident.

If the client has gaps, I ask about there lash routine.
☝🏼If they get lash extensions. (If yes, are they a picker)
✌🏼 If/when they started noticing the issue

Second things second 😏
If this client was here for a lift, I would either take a picture or show her in a mirror the area in question.

It’s important to manage client expectations. Those cut lashes would be way more noticeable if we lift them, I explain. If a client has come in for an appointment and can’t receive the service I don’t charge them 🤷🏻‍♀️ it is what it is. I’d rather take the loss then provide a service she wouldn’t be 100% happy with.

Last things last.
