I want to impact people's lives more deeply; by treating hair loss and scalp conditions.

So much can happen in 5 months when you respond to the right treatment and work on reducing major life stressors.
Sometimes treatment is simple and some requires more work and time, just depends on many factors like severity and specific hair loss disorder.

I'm just happy my client is feeling more confident about his hair and it will continue to get better as time goes on because he's committed to his health and the game plan I've designed for his hair & scalp. We continually check in on his progress and adjust accordingly.

All types of alopecia are a big deal, but not all are the same. This is important if you are dealing with alopecia and you are not responding to your current treatment or if it's getting worse. It might not be the right treatment for you.

There are several different indications for the types of alopecia, and it's the #1 important thing to be able to differentiate the type of alopecia to provide the correct treatment. Some people have multiple types of alopecia at once, too.

When one treatment doesn't work for someone, it's possible it's not addressing the correct symptoms. Trichologists (like me) are trained to be able to distinguish between the different types to provide solutions.

TYPES OF ALOPECIA:

Androgenetic Alopecia

Alopecia Areata

Cicatricial Alopecia

Alopecia Totalis

Alopecia Universalis

Telogen Effluvium

Anagen Effluvium

Loose Anagen Syndrome

Even within some of these types there are sub categories that are even more unique so alopecia can be tricky but its my goal to thoroughly asses the scalp and hair follicles to determine all the unique signs of hair loss and to try to get to the root cause. Hope this helps 🙏

I'm happy to see my clients' improvement after 3 months' time. Top photos from Feb, bottom photos from May.

I believe we will continue to see progress but he took all of my recommendations (there were many) and I'm so pleased that he is committed to making the necessary changes to allow his hair to have a chance to grow back in.

Sometimes, hair loss is circumstancial or accumulative, and there is actually a lot that can help slow it down or reverse it.

I take a deep dive with my clients and look at blood work, diet, medications, and supplementation, and talk about managing stress levels. I'll sometimes make many recommendations and give you further reading or books to explore in this journey of healing your hair. It becomes a journey of healing your body ✨️

We also did a hair follicle analysis report to make educated decisions with data from your own body instead of guesses.

Thanks for reading! Let me know if you have any questions!

This is my own post partum journey, hair photos - 1 YEAR APART. This is not to say it'll take you a year to have fuller hair again but that hair loss and healing can be a very long process because it involves things that are circumstancial to our current life stage or situation. Sometimes we have to make simple changes or sometimes we need to make bigger ones in order to reduce stressors.

This august, I'll be 2 years postpartum, and I finally feel like i have real energy again. I wanted to share that the body needs time to heal and things like lack of sleep, poor diet, stress, burnt out adrenals, poor immune health, and do and will contribute to poor hair growth, among the list of other things that arent great. I've experienced it, and im getting back to myself by learning and sleeping more, and thankfully, I've had along the way to give me relief from my busy life and help me heal myself.

Hair loss really can be confusing and anxiety inducing. It is because it's so multifactroial that it's hard to pinpoint what and why it is happening when it starts unless it's obvious reasons for me like postpartum. The good news is that I've studied hair loss extensively, and i can look at the different symptoms that you're experiencing and use that information to help me distinguish between the different types of hair loss disorders. But ideally, by learning more about you and doing some further digging, i most certainly can help you and give you answers. The first step in a treatment plan is to get a proper assessment, and then you can decide what you want to do. Remember that hair loss treatments dont work for everyone because not everyone is the same, nor do we have the same physiology.

Clean beauty is not a trend. It needs to be the new normal in a world full of toxic chemicals. The biggest concern is that when toxins are applied to the skin, they go directly into our blood stream and can cause serious harm to our bodies. When we inhale chemicals the same thing happens in our lungs. Many other countries actually ban these chemicals so its up to us to become more aware of safer alternatives.

Health effects from just these few chemicals are: hormone disruptors, cancer, birth defects, allergies in children, antibacterial resistance, irritants.

The good news is you have a CHOICE to use products and you can choose to shop safer. I would suggest shopping at your local salon, spa, or beauty store that advertises clean beauty/skin care so you know you are buying safe products. Choose to take care of your health and think of it as a long tern investment for your future self. For non toxic products visit EWG.org as well.

Thanks for providing this information for me to share.

I've seen this circulating, and it just isn't true.

Hair follicles are a natural inward appendage of the skin developed during utero. Hair follicles can become "clogged" with hardened sebum (oil), dandruff flakes, sweat, product buildup, and debris. That does not mean it is a CAUSE for hair loss. specifically says this in their curriculum.

Now, when we see peri-follicular inflammation, which is inflammation surrounding the hair follicle, that in itself can be a cause for hair miniturization and poor hair quality. But to go around saying a clogged hair follicle causes hair loss is misleading. To understand more, you can schedule with a Trichologist in your area. Trichologists are your hair experts, and we will take a look at your scalp and educate you on topics of these sorts. ❤️

Seeing the sun glow on my salon windows in the morning light the other day made me feel so happy. It truly is in the little moments that make it all worth it.

Nearing up on two years in this space, and i have met so many new wonderful people, and I've been staying in touch with so many friends along the way.

For some that know me well, I've shared in the struggles, and i appreciate every word of encouragement and support 🙏 this community is everything to me. Running a small business is not easy and has required me to step up in many ways. I don't try to be perfect but I just do my best.

The biggest thing for me that I've recently overcome was climbing out of a pretty big hole of debt from opening the business (even though i had a chunk of change going into it) Unexpected things happen as well (like wire fraud) and sometimes that hole grows bigger, but little by little, I've climbed out of it. It's not like im debt free by any means, but i have a big load lifted now so i can mentally move forward. Also, having a baby only 4 months after opening isn't the "smartest" thing to do financially but we are so happy with our family of four, and i literally wouldn't change a thing. Ive learned that hard things help me grow and become better. I always learn from my tough lessons and make sure I don't make the same mistakes.

Thanks to everyone who works inside the salon for keeping us all here together by being awesome! And if you're still here thanks for reading my late night rambles ❤️
