It was developed in 1975 by Thomas B. Fitzpatrick, a Harvard dermatologist, and is widely used in dermatology and cosmetic medicine.

Fitzpatrick Skin Type Scale | Understand your skin’s response to the sun ☀️

Type I
Skin Color: Very fair
Reaction: Always burns, never tans
Traits: Pale skin, freckles, red/blond hair, light eyes

Type II
Skin Color: Fair
Reaction: Usually burns, tans minimally
Traits: Light skin, blue/green eyes, blond/light brown hair

Type III
Skin Color: Medium
Reaction: Sometimes mild burn, gradually tans
Traits: Beige/light olive skin, darker hair and eyes

This ain’t your disposable Ti**le razor.

Did you know that true dermaplaning started in medical practices to treat acne scars, actinic keratosis and other textural skin issues by manually exfoliating the epidermis?

It was also used to pre-treat the skin for chemical peels and lasers for deeper pe*******on.

Dermaplaning uses a single use steel blade to exfoliate surface skin. While doing so you also remove the vellus hair (peach fuzz). Which results in super smooth, glowing skin.

This can be a stand alone service or added to any facial treatment.
