It’s hard living in these times. Watching the atrocities of violence at the hands of this administration.
Knowing that as small as we are, and that we can’t help in big ways can make the days seem darker. We know that tomorrow is a call for a nationwide strike against ICE, government, and the corporate America machine. As independent stylists we are choosing to honor our clients long awaited appointments, asking for alternate forms of compensation and also providing donations to a grassroots Minneapolis fund that we are personally working with (if you would like information as to how you can help, please ask)
We hold the state of Minnesota and the pain and suffering of all people affected by these brutal events close to our hearts, So close.
While we may be open tomorrow, we did not make this decision lightly.
So please, tomorrow, and every following day, when you find yourself making choices, choose the struggling small businesses, owned and operated by the hardworking people of your community. Our beautiful communities are made up of glorious people. We are all in this together and would rather be able to make these connections than sit the days out.

I ramble.
I make no sense on paper.

We stand with our community always and hope to make a small but effective amount of change not just tomorrow, but always in the future.

Some people might say it’s all wine and roses being your own boss.. & don’t get me wrong…sometimes it is.
When I started this journey a little over ten years ago, I began with sparkly stars in my eyes and a bright spark in my soul. To open this sweet little holistic salon was my dream. I had been enduring toxic overload illnesses for years and needed a clean place to call my own, and create my craft. So, in January of 2016 I got the keys to this magickal place, named it Sparrow, and thus began the journey.
A total transformation, a few local fires, a pandemic, and now… this new world we are learning to navigate. Over the past ten years I’ve learned a lot. And Gotten so much older…. So much checking in and following my gut, and making sure the energy and environment still offer a safe space for our stylists and clients to enjoy. So, on this day, my ten year Sparrow-versary, I thank you. Thank you for making my dream continue. I can’t do it without you.
Small biz ain’t for the faint of ❤️, so give the ones you love some extra support this year, we do what we do for the love of it.
