Hello, I have been in the makeup field for over 5 years. In my career I have done many short films,
Rose Dorfman started her makeup career right after high school where she attended the prestigious Cinema Makeup School in Los Angeles. She graduate with her certificates in TV & file as well as special effects. While attending school she won IMATS and was flown to New York to be a makeup artist at fashion week. THE BEST BATHROOM LIGHTING TO APPLY YOUR MAKEUP Love, Rose
Never apply makeup under FLUORESCENT LIGHT as it's unforgiving & so bright it can cause you to overdo foundation, bronzer, or blush to compensate for a lack of color you see in the bathroom mirror.
YELLOW LIGHT can make you look tired & sick which may cause you to use too much powder & concealer to neutralize your face & hide dark spots.
ROSY LIGHT can make your skin appear healthy and bright even if it's not. Due to your radiant appearance in this light, you might slack on the concealer, only to later realize that you missed a blaring blemish or dark spot.
DOWNLIGHTING shines on wrinkles and pigmentation & casts shadows under the eyes, making you look older. Remember when you were a kid and held a flashlight under your chin to look scary? This is the same thing in reverse.
NATURAL SUNLIGHT is the best for applying makeup but LED is the next best thing. It resembles natural light to evenly distribute light across your entire face.
BE AWARE OF light bulbs above the bathroom mirror that only light your forehead, forcing you to tilt your head too far up, making it hard to apply makeup with precision. The most illuminated section of the mirror should be at your eye level.

IF YOUR LIPSTICK DOESN'T STAY ON HERE'S A FEW TIPS:
EXFOLIATE 1st rubbing mixture of honey & white sugar on lips for a minute
MOISTURIZE lips as lipsticks can have chemicals that are drying
APPLY FOUNDATION to fill in tiny lines around your mouth before lipstick
USE A CLEAR or COLORED LIP LINER to keep lipstick inside it
CREAM BASED LIPSTICKS are slippery & might slide off lips to go in fine lines
