My client had previously had her brows microbladed in 2019 by another artist. She still had most of her shape left but the color had faded gray with some areas missing more color than others. The strokes in the front section had blended together over time. ⁣

We decided it would be best to do a combo brow (powder shading throughout the tail) to even out the color in the body of her brows without making them too dark. We also wanted to separate & define the strokes towards the centers to make them appear more wispy and natural. ⁣

They turned out even better than I hoped 🙌🏻⁣

These were done 100% with a machine - less trauma to the skin than Microblading while also providing better longevity.⁣

Depending on the type of pigment, darkness of color, and the your skin tone the tone of the pigment will shift in the skin over time as they fade out.⁣

Yellow and red pigment particles tend to fade quicker from the skin than blue particles. The darker the color 👉🏻 the more blue present. ⁣
⁣
Over time your brows may slowly start to shift to the cooler / gray side of the spectrum as the yellow and red particles lighten. ⁣
⁣
When this happens, you know they’re ready for a touch up! A warmer pigment is used to bring them back to a neutral brown.⁣
⁣
This could take anywhere from 1-3 years depending on the individual.⁣
