This page will frequently have more than just massage information because just as I believe in the power of touch, I also believe in the power of sharing vulnerably about the ups and downs of life. If you haven't tried Manna Bakehouse's chocolate chip cookies....you are missing out. ๐ช

September is Su***de Awareness Month, and this is something that holds a very personal place in my heart.
In 2009, I lost my husband, Monty, to su***de. There are some losses you never simply โget over.โ You learn to carry them, and you learn that grief and faith can exist in the same heart.
I share this today because I want anyone who is struggling to know something I wish everyone could truly believe:
Your pain is not the end of your story.
When the darkness is overwhelming, God is still there. When you cannot see a way forward, He can. When you feel forgotten, you are not forgotten. And when you don't have the strength to take another step, it is okay to reach for someone who can help you take it.
The Bible tells us, โThe Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.โ โ Psalm 34:18
Please don't suffer in silence. Talk to someone. Let someone in. Ask for help. Prayโbut also allow others to walk beside you.
And please, check on your people. Send the text. Make the call. Sit beside someone who is hurting. You never know what someone is carrying behind a smile.
There is hope. There is help. There is still a purpose for your life. And God is not finished with you. ๐ค
