Part 1: K-Tip Extension Prep
If you want to really level up and customize someone’s entire head with extensions try making your own bonds!
For the 2 blonde colors I used a translucent light brown keratin, and for the 2 “darker” shades I used a dark brown keratin since it matches her natural in the back where only those color bonds will be going.
Whether you are buying single donor hair or factory wefts/bonds it’s important to clarify the hair before trying to add keratin. You’ll notice a big difference with retention but also making the bonds. If the keratin isn’t sticking to the hair there is either oil on the hair or silicone coating preventing the keratin from sticking.
For a platinum blonde like this I used 4 shades of colors, hair is never one dimensional. In order for brightness to appear you need depth.
From lightest to darkest I used: Paris, Lived in Braggn, Dirty Chai, Sandy from Micro Weft Hair Extensions
