Great book that connects humans to how we were designed to breathe & the benefits of breathing correctly. Most people don’t think about breathing, modern humans need to learn good breathing techniques and practice them or have little chance helping themselves with a necessary action.

In one tbsp. of healthy soil there are more organisms than # of humans alive on earth.

Unfortunately soil health in monocrop agriculture is non existent…

2 moves - Endless benefits.

One builds deep-range strength and rotational power.

The other turns a simple kick-back into a glute, hip, and lateral power builder.

Strong in every direction → that’s the goal!

The Combo:

Front-foot elevated split squat with rotation -
By elevating the front foot, you create a deficit range of motion, giving your hip and knee more travel distance, building strength and control through a deeper range.
Resting the back leg on a bench keeps the load on the working leg while opening up the hip flexors of the rear leg.
Add a kettlebell and rotate toward the working leg, and now you’re challenging balance, trunk control, and building rotational strength that carries over into running, throwing, striking, and other athletic movements 💪

Cable Chamber to Side-Kick -
Instead of a straight back kick, start in a chamber position (knee pulled in toward the chest) and kick out to the side as if throwing a martial arts side kick.
This variation lights up the glutes from multiple angles, strengthens hip abductors, and builds power through a that diagonal range the kind of strength you actually use when pivoting, or generating force sideways.

Together, this combo hits your lower body through deep range, builds rotational and lateral power, and ties your upper and lower halves together for movement that’s strong, stable, and ready for anything!

Small tweaks, big payoff! 👌

Save it and me know how you get on! 👇

This is an often overlooked muscle and often very underdeveloped. The best ways I have found to isolate this muscle when training are pulling the sled backwards making sure to really flex the knee with each step making sure you are really pushing through the toes and forefoot. The other great way to isolate vastus medialis is to walk backwards on a significant incline on a treadmill where you can rest your lower back on the console really focusing on flexing the knee and pushing through the forefoot toes and really flexing the ankle before retracting your foot to take the next step.
