She drove over an hour to see me today after finding my work one night while scrolling Instagram. 🩷

Years ago, she had an ar**la tattoo done after everything she had already been through. Over time, it faded, and she never really loved the result. It didn’t look like her native side, and eventually, she just accepted it.

She told herself, this is just how it is.

Until today.

When we finished and she looked in the mirror, she became emotional. She told me she never knew a tattoo could look that realistic.

And that’s the part of this work that will never get old for me. 🥹

After surgery, healing, scars, appointments, and all the things she never asked to go through, she had settled for something that never truly felt like her.

Today, she didn’t have to settle.

Today, we recreated something that looked like it belonged to her body.

And today, in her words, she felt whole again. 🩷

A question I am asked on a regular basis, so here are my must haves as a brow artist with PMU brows! I still love a crisp groomed brow and my powder brow helps me know exactly how to shape them!

The NYX crazy lift brow glue is an absolute must have!
•I like to use about a half a pea sized amount each brow.
Micro Spoolies 🙌🏼
•I use those to help shape and give me that laminated look without the lamination.
Tarte Big Ego Pomade + an angled brush
• this combo is to fill in my sparse spots where my PMU has faded and I don’t have hair.
Maybelline super slim pencil
•I don’t use this everyday but sometimes I like to flick in some micro hair strokes with this pencil
Men’s Beard Dye 🤌🏼
• I like to tint my brows about every 3-4 weeks. I unfortunately already have some white brow hair 🫣 PMU does not solve that little problem!

Had to jump on this trend. Jobs I had before becoming a PMU Artist. Which one surprises you the most?!

Probably my favorite gig of them all (minus what I do now) was working at a long term care facility as an activities assistant. Wednesday nights was my favorite night. I would go door to door and offer manicures to the residents. I made sure to be to Dee’s room when Wheel of Fortune started every week to touchup her nails and watch her favorite game show with her. 🥹
