✨ Something new and exciting is stirring here at Serenity Hills Ranch. ✨

For quite some time, Tim and I have felt called to create more than just a ranch. We've dreamed of creating a place where people can exhale and relax- find a place of peace; a sanctuary... where healing begins, where hearts feel safe and people's nervous systems feel safe enough to release, and where both people and horses can help each other heal, through love, support, encouragement, conversation or even silence. 🩷

We've been looking into and considering offering equine-assisted healing experiences and would love to know if there's interest within our community. This open house is simply a chance to connect, meet the horses, learn about our vision, ask questions, and help us shape what this could become.

We truly believe there is something profound that happens when horses and humans come together. Horses don't judge our past or ask us to be anything other than who we are. They invite us to slow down, become present, rebuild trust, and reconnect with ourselves in ways words often can't.

Our hope is to eventually serve those who need it most—including veterans living with PTSD, first responders, individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and anyone of all ages, searching for a place to simply breathe again. We also hope to possibly incorporate massage therapy and Reiki as part of a holistic approach to healing mind, body, and spirit.

If we can help even one person find a little more peace within themselves, release anything that is no longer serving them, to leave feeling lighter- that peace sends a ripple effect outward—to families, friends, to communities, nature and ultimately, to the world.

The Summer Solstice is not only the longest day of the year—it is a sacred invitation.

An invitation to stand fully in your light.

To witness the parts of yourself that have been quietly growing beneath the surface through every challenge, sorrow, lesson, and season of becoming. The seeds you planted in darkness, whether you realized it or not, have not been forgotten. They have been preparing you.

Nature teaches us that growth is not forced. It unfolds in divine timing. The flowers do not question whether they are worthy of blooming. The sun does not apologize for shining.

Neither should you.

Today, I invite you to pause. Place your hand on your heart. Feel the divine life force moving through you. Honor the healing you've done, the storms you've survived, and the wisdom you've gained along the way.

The Solstice reminds us that light and shadow are not enemies. One gives meaning to the other. We cannot appreciate the warmth of the sun without first knowing the darkness of winter.

May you bloom without fear. May you shine without apology. May you remember who you truly are.

Animal lover, always up for an adventure, silly, smart, witty.. everything wonderful wrapped up into a human! Your tenacity, determination, and willingness to stand up for what you believe in are qualities i've always deepely admired. This girl has always challenged ideas, asked questions, push boundaries and thinks for herself. Firey, this one. 🔥

I’ve always thought and mentioned.. Maddy will be the one to smash glass ceilings. I can't wait to see you grow and evolve and witness the journey of your becoming. You definitely have a fire within you that refuses to settle, and I have no doubt that it will take you wherever you choose to go in life.

Keep dreaming big, asking questions, challenging the status quo, and never letting anyone tell you what you can or cannot achieve. The world is better because of young women like you. We are so proud of you and love you so much! Happy Sweet 16, Madelyne!

This space we’ve created together has never been just about hair, massage, or reiki… it’s about slowing down, opening up, reconnecting, honoring, healing, and coming home to yourself. And truly, none of it would exist without your trust, your presence, and your continued support. It honestly is home to me, and I find the comfort of home within each and every one of you.

I always want to show up here with honesty and transparency. I remember, starting out in this business, people telling you the 'right' or 'wrong' way to run a successful business. I've always pushed back a bit and felt that businesses should be creative; led with the best of intentions, from the soul. Honesty and openness is so much more important to me. We are all human and thrive on connection.

As the seasons change, so do the realities of running a small, heart-led business. The cost of products, supplies, and maintaining this sacred space continues to rise, and I’ve felt that shift deeply behind the scenes. There are moments of deep stress, worry.. but also thanking the universe that I've been fortunate enough to keep my doors open. I am extremely grateful for challenges, wins, losses and so many beautiful things in between.

In order to stay in alignment, sustain this work, and continue offering you the quality, care, and energy you deserve, I will be making a gentle price adjustment to some services beginning 6/1/26. Some pricing will remain as is, but you may see a reflection in some of my color pricing.

I typically only do an increase once a year, so this wasn’t an easy decision—it’s one I’ve sat with, moved through, and made with so much intention and respect for you.

Thank you for choosing to support small, for valuing my work, and for allowing me to be a part of your journey. Thank you for allowing me to show up as I am, and for you to show up as you are, and put your trust in me, every day. It is an honor I don’t take lightly.

Just a slow Sunday with the ones who keep life simple and full 🤍 Tim and I attended the horse expo this morning. Met some beautiful people, got lots of ideas- inspiration is stirring 🤩

Fresh air, kisses, brays and neighs, quiet moments, dandelion picking for my girls… this is the kind of beauty we never take for granted. 🌿✨

One month.

Taking a somatic approach to breathing and training- its been a complete game changer. Learning to breathe through the release- accept it, not control it, and let it pass without judgement.

When we surrender and allow these stored energies to come to the surface and dissipate, you realize the true strength of resilience, honoring your body and allowing all that ISNT you, to fade.

It's more than building muscle. It's more than just a workout. It's pushing through the discomfort, allowing emotions and suppressed energy to arise, and balancing the mind, body and spirit, so you can feel a sense of peace and harmony within the body. Coming home to yourself.

Just a reminder, I will be out of the salon from 3/25- 3/30, to take some time away to recharge; return to stillness and tend to my own healing. 🌱

I honor the work I do and I am extremely grateful for the trust you put in me, everyday. To truly hold space for others in beauty, bodywork, and energy work, I must also honor the natural cycles of rest, reflection, and renewal within myself. (Sometimes easier said than done 😂) This time is sacred to me — a time to ground, reconnect with nature, and gently refill my spirit. ✨

I will be unreachable during this time, as I honor this intentional pause. I will return all texts, calls, and emails with care, once I have returned on 3/31.

This blizzard is coming in fierce… winds howling, snow drifting nearly five feet high, the ranch buried under feet of snow, and Tim moving slowly through it all while struggling and healing from a torn hamstring.

Ranch life doesn’t stop for storms.
The animals still call. The paths still need to be carved. The water still needs to flow.
But there is something deeply sacred about these days.

The land wrapped in white silence. The rhythm of boots in snow. The warm breath of horses in the cold morning air. Every chore becomes a meditation. Every step becomes an act of devotion — to this life, to these animals, to the purpose we are building here.

Hardship out here has a way of softening you… stripping away the noise and bringing you back to what truly matters. Presence. Partnership. Trust. Gratitude.

Even in injury. Even in exhaustion. Even in the storm — there is beauty.

There is growth.

There is awakening.

This ranch continues to teach us that strength isn’t just about pushing through… it’s about staying connected to the earth, to each other, and to the quiet wisdom that lives in the struggle. This life, this sacred, earthy life we’ve chosen… continues to meet us exactly where we are.

We are tired. We are humbled.
And we are deeply, deeply blessed.

The storm doesn’t just shape the land…
It shapes the soul of the ones who are willing to stand in it. ❄️🌾🐎✨
