Baby, I’m a artist…and I’m sensitive about my ishhhh

I started my beauty journey doing makeup, but as I grew more into esthetics, I slowly shied away from it. Because, whew… being a makeup artist can be nerve-racking! 😩 Somewhere along the way, I just fell out of love with it.

So, when I was asked to do makeup for this wedding, I was truly honored but baby, my nerves were BAD because I hadn’t done bridal makeup in awhile

But one thing about it and two things for sure… when it’s time for me to beat a face, I’m going to beat that face down to the GAWDSSSS! Okayy!!!

We gotta stop acting like you can’t be successful as a solo esthetician. 😭 Because every time I hear that, it really grinds my gears.

Being solo doesn’t mean you can’t be successful. You just have to set yourself up for success. Have your systems in place. Know your numbers. Price your services correctly. Stay consistent with your marketing. Create policies and actually stand on them. Give your clients an experience that keeps them coming back. And most importantly, learn how to run the BUSINESS, not just perform the service.

You don’t necessarily need a team to build a successful beauty business. Sometimes you just need better systems, better strategy, and CONSISTENCY.

I’ve been seeing more young adults come through the Beauty Bar and I love it. It’s not just about the facial, it’s about creating a space where we can laugh, cut up a little, and still have those real conversations about skin and self-care.

My goal is to keep it comfortable and fun, but also make sure everyone learns how to take care of their skin the right way.
