This guest found me because she was looking for alternative, safer solutions for styling her hair. She’s book struggling with Alopecia Frontalis along with Traction Alopecia for a while. And like many others dealing with any form of Alopecia, finding stylists trained to handle hair loss and who can create customized solutions was extremely challenging. Alopecia isn’t linear and most people, even with the same type of hair loss will have varying degrees of density loss and the pattern will also vary. So being able to think quickly and find solutions is a crucial part of my career.

In this case, we opted for a silk top wig to give her a very realistic appearance of the top. But because time was of the essence, when the unit came, it was way too big. So I had to add 3 darts on each side at the nape and I also stitched 3 rows of wefts together on the unit in the crown and nape to remove excess cap without having to deconstruct the entire unit, because again, time was of the essence. We were both extremely happy with the results.

We now have her mold so all her units moving forward should fit like a glove.

She reached out to me in a full state of panic because she had just gotten an install 2 days prior and her extensions (and her hair) were coming out.

Fast forward to her appointment. I removed 252g of extensions minus all the hair that fell out before her appointment. I was absolutely blown away because just by looking at her hair, I couldn’t understand why she was even allowed to have that much hair installed in her head.

We did her repair keratin bonds with a total of 90g of hair. And you can see how it’s fitting with her face frame and totally suitable for her natural strands.

She was beyond happy. Noted the difference immediately with how they felt and a bonus, was happy with me introducing her to ginger beer during her initial removal appointment.
