A beautifully composed portrait by George A. Locke in Phillipsburg, Kansas, probably taken around 1920 to 1925. Her shorter hairstyle, pearl necklace, and dark satin dress show the transition into the changing fashions of the 1920s.

Long before I knew him as my father, he was this young Marine near the end of World War II. I have no confirmed location for the photograph, but I do have the chance to preserve it, restore it, and see a little more of the person behind the uniform.
