✨Four months postpartum ✨
Welp, here it is. The dreaded body pic after having a baby. My belly button looks “sad“ all the time. It’s droopy and all stretched out now. Everything seems to be “lower”. My belly hangs over my pants more when I sit down, so; high waisted jeans are my best friend 👯♀️. Not to mention how dark your stomach is after giving birth. Wow! My stomach was BLACK (it’s almost back to its original color now.) I have stretch marks that decided to show up WHEN I WAS 38 WEEKS PREGNANT ... how sway?! It seems like I find a new one every night I put Bio Oil on 🤷🏽♀️. What’s crazy is I weigh less than I did before I got pregnant but my body is definitely different. My legs are smaller and my head seems to have gotten bigger. Weird. Pregnancy is weird and your body does really crazy things. I don’t think I will ever understand. I remember a few weeks after birth and even now (I still catch myself doing this) I would suck my stomach in when I would be around Mark (it really takes too much effort and I got tired of running out of breath 🤦🏽♀️.) I’m sure he notices differences in my body *especially bc he’s always asking me when am I going to get in the gym 🙄*. It’s been four months and I’ve only been to the gym ONCE. I just can’t find the time, how do you ladies do it?!? I definitely want to get closer to my old stomach but I understand that I CARRIED A HUMAN FOR TEN MONTHS and that causes stress on my body. Not to mention; I had a healthy TEN pounder. It’s going to take time. How much time? Idk but I’m not too too hard on myself. If I want the cookie, I’ll eat the cookie! (But I’ll eat a salad for my next meal.) Balance. It’s all about balance ppl. Keep shining queens. We got this .. one day at a time 🙌🏽

✨Sleep Regressions ✨
No one told me about this. But boy, did I learn fast. This has to be the hardest part of being a mommy thus far. Aiden “nursed” between 6-8x between the hours of 12a-6am EVERYDAY last week. TIRED was not the word! I was delusional, had a consistent attitude, felt hopeless, irritated, ... you name it, I felt it!!! But, every time I saw his face, it made everything a little bit better. Saturday night is the first night that I had at least a TWO hour block of sleep and I’m so grateful. So, the next time you see a mommy (new mommy or mom of multiple,) ask her is there anything you can do for her bc you never know how she’s feeling.

The realness behind . Running a bath and trying to enjoy a glass of 🍷 before baby wakes up. My bathroom is dirty bc I honestly don’t have time to do anything except tend to baby unless I put it on my schedule. And who wants to clean in their already sparse free time?? Not me 🙅🏽♀️. It’s been 17 weeks since I’ve given birth and my body is still adjusting. My hormones are still everywhere and I definitely still cry in random outbursts. There is so much I can complain about but I don’t bc I have been incredibly blessed (not to mention that it wouldn’t do me any good.) They don’t tell you these things; so you have to learn it on your own. But here I am flaws and all still learning and still going strong 💪🏽
