Last September, I had the opportunity to work alongside . If you know me, you know how much this meant to me. Valheria shot the photos for Taylor Swift’s Lover album, and her visual style has inspired me for so long.

The day before this photoshoot, my grandmother passed away—I was not expecting it. We were extremely close. I had been telling her about this shoot and how excited I was for it. She was always so supportive of me, and truly happy for everything I pursued.

Going to the fitting that night was incredibly hard, and the shoot day ended up being one of the most emotionally heavy days of my life.

I want to thank , my friend and our hairstylist on set, for being such a strong support that day. The comfort you brought me is something I’ll never forget—and will always be grateful for.

I especially want to thank Valheria. The grace and understanding you showed during the shoot, the insane creative process you invited me into, and the words of encouragement you shared with me after (something I needed so badly in that moment)—I am forever grateful. Thank you for creating art that has inspired me for years. It was such an honor to be a part of your team.

Getting these photos back recently brought up a lot of emotion. I wish my grandma could see them—but I also hope she’d be proud. Proud of the work, and proud of how I pushed through. I genuinely want to thank everyone involved in this production—your energy and work ethic carried me through the day.
