Brides, if you want your makeup to look amazing in every kind of lighting on your wedding day, your makeup artist isn’t the only one who matters!
Here are a few things YOU can do to make sure your bridal makeup looks beautiful in person AND in photos:
* Choose a getting ready space with great natural light.
Look for a room with plenty of windows. Natural light allows your makeup artist to see your true skin tone for the perfect foundation match.
* Minimize getting ready under overhead yellow lights.
Warm, yellow lighting can distort color and make your makeup look different than it actually is. It can affect everything from your foundation match to your blush and eyeshadow.
* Take a few flash photos.
Flash can reveal things you may not notice in the mirror; like excess powder or flashback.
* Think about the lighting at your venue, too.
Your makeup should look beautiful in daylight, under your reception lighting, and when your photographer uses flash. A good makeup artist will know how to balance your makeup so it translates beautifully in all of them.
