Today, on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, I want to share the roots of Bobby + Birch. 🌿
This brand was born from a love of hair, the land, and the women who shaped it. My family is Mi’kmaq — part of the Wabanaki, the People of the Dawnland, whose homeland this has always been. I grew up here in Maine, inspired by my two grandmothers and generations of family knowledge: be resilient, be resourceful, honor the natural world, and let everything you make serve a purpose.
The “birch” in our name is for the birch tree elegant yet strong, rooted in renewal and adaptability, with every part of it useful. That spirit lives in every bottle: bold but never boastful, intentional yet effortless. Where time-honored rituals meet modern hair science.
