From Teacher to Business Owner: My Journey in the Esthetics Industry

In 2024, I took a leap of faith and opened my own business in the esthetics industry. For years,I had worked tirelessly as a teacher and manager at an esthetics school, as well as at another salon, often clocking in 65 hours a week. After ten grueling months, I realized it was time to stop working for someone else and start building my own dream.

The Leap of Faith

I still remember that moment of decision. I had spent years honing my skills and fostering my passion for esthetics, but I felt that I could offer something unique to my clients if I had my own space. With a mix of excitement and apprehension, I opened my doors and began my journey as a business owner.

Building a Loyal Clientele

In just under a year, I was fully booked a month in advance. The support from my clients and community was overwhelming. I focused on delivering exceptional service, building genuine relationships, and continuously improving my skills. My passion for esthetics fueled my success, and I was grateful to see my hard work paying off.

Growth and Upgrades

By 2025, things took another exciting turn. I upgraded my suite, creating a more inviting and luxurious environment for my clients. This investment not only enhanced the overall experience but also attracted even more clients. Fast forward to a year and a half into my journey, and I found myself booked two months in advance. It was a surreal feeling, knowing that my vision was becoming a reality.

Never Looking Back

Reflecting on my journey, I realize how far I’ve come. The challenges I faced along the way only strengthened my resolve. I’ve learned the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the power of believing in myself. Every late night and early morning was worth it.
