We Have a New Booking System!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to give a friendly reminder that we are switching booking systems from Square to GlossGenius!

As of tonight (4/27/26), I will no longer be accepting bookings through Square and ask that everyone shifts to Gloss for my most accurate availability. The easiest way to find my new page is through my website starlinghairstudio.com (http://www.starlinghairstudio.com) - if you have any issues connecting, please don't hesitate to reach out. That being said, all communications will now shift from Square to Gloss's platform as well (appointment confirmations, reminders, emails, texts, ect), but my direct business line will remain the same at (630)-216-9517 . If you already had an appointment scheduled with me via Square, I have already shifted the booking across platforms accordingly. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to shoot me a text.

Thank you for your continued support in my business, and thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate any issues this new system gives me (as technology always likes to give me a hard time).

This weekend was nothing short of wonderful. I’ve learned so much, met so many incredible individuals, and had experiences of a lifetime. The last three days further solidified just how thankful I am to be a part of this industry. From the Danger Jones Epilogue launch party that I am so so blessed to have attended, to the convention halls of America’s Beauty Show in all of its glory- never in my wildest dreams did I think this would’ve been my career.

Booking System Update!

Hi everyone! I hope your Spring is going wonderfully. Here's one of my rare email updates for you (so you know it's important).

Come May 1st, my booking site is shifting from Square to GlossGenius!

What does this mean for you, my wonderful clients?

If you routinely prebook your appointments with me before leaving the shop- the only thing that will change is the texts you get in regards to your booking (ex. confirmation and appointment reminders).
If you prefer making your own appointments via online booking, no worries whatsoever! For online booking, you can go to starlinghairstudio.com for the current online booking platform. Until May 1st, the normal website you use will be active. May 1st and beyond, we will be switched over to GlossGenius!

If you have any issues at all, especially while I work out any kinks in this switch, please don't hesitate to reach out at 630-216-9517 (text is usually best).

2026 at Starling Hair Studio

Hello hello everyone! Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season with your loved ones and I'm so very much looking forward to connecting with everyone in the next coming weeks! As you all may know, I try not to spam everyone's inboxes too frequently; this email is to give everyone some important updates in regards to my business.

First and foremost, an absolutely MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has sat in my chair in 2025 (and even long before that). Thank you for keeping me busy and for supporting me as a person and supporting my business. I truly could not be here without each and every one of you and I am eternally grateful.
As we go into this year, I want to strongly encourage everyone to be prebooking their next appointments before leaving the shop so I can ensure we keep you looking and feeling your best on your schedule. January is already looking mighty busy and I am so so grateful, and I'm roughly booking 1-2 weeks out for haircuts and anywhere from 2-4 weeks for colors and hair extension services that take 2 hours or more. If you don't see anything available on my booking site, please don't ever hesitate to shoot me a text and I'll see what I can do!

2026 also marks a new space- but don't worry, we won't be going far. We have moved from our beloved loft 215 to loft 240, only a room over (contrary to numbers). You'll go down the same hallway in the front of the building, but you'll just go straight down instead of eventually turning left. Super easy! I'm fortunate enough to be sharing this space with my fellow loftie and best friend, Jessica aka Sinister Shear Artistry, who a lot of you have already met! We are super thrilled for everyone to see the space we've created, and we thank everyone for your patience as we continue to settle into the new layout.

And finally, due to the rising costs of materials necessary for my business, the time has come to raise my prices. This decision has come with careful consideration for both myself and my livelihood as well as everyone who I have the absolute honor of having in my chair. My haircut prices will be going up just $2, and my color prices will be adjusted up $5 more per individual service due to rising product costs. Don't worry, there are never any hidden fees and I'm always happy to give transparent breakdowns of service pricing as well as trying to work within a budget.
These price changes will be reflected on February 1st, 2026.

Once again, thank you to each and every person who has sat in my chair. I am so incredibly thankful for your support and I look forward to helping everyone look their best this upcoming year and beyond. Here's to 2026!
