Schenectady students offered $1 haircuts at three barbershop over holiday weekend As Schenectady students prepare to return to school on Thursday morning, a new city program will allow local kids to get $1 haircuts at three city barber shops over Labor Day weekend.

Schenectady schools plan $1 back-to-school haircuts The Schenectady City School District has partnered with local organizations to offer $1 back-to-school haircuts.

Each child will receive a custom jersey with their name on the back as long as they’re registered before the jersey order is submitted.

Ages 5-12 and age is as of January 1st 2024

In person registration will be at Union Street Barbershop any time from 12pm-5pm Tuesday-Saturday.
