I make very plain soap. No fancy swirls or designs. I do try to give a textured fancy top but as you can see the 2 loaves never behave the same (I just divided the batch of soap into 2 loaves). That’s the beauty of homemade.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

April’s soap of the month is carrot soap. This color is such a pretty shade of yellow! This one is fragrance free. The scented option will probably be a mix of rosemary, lemongrass, and clary sage.

Heart Soap is ready! There are 13 bars of each option.

The pink heart is fragrance free. It’s made with olive oil, water, coconut oil, shea butter, sodium hydroxide, castor oil and French pink clay for color. $4.63 for a 2.8 ounce bar ($5 with Albany sales tax)

The white heart is a white wine soap. It’s made with with olive oil, white wine, coconut oil, shea butter, sodium hydroxide, castor oil, and an essential oil blend of lavender and geranium. $5.10 for a 2.9 ounce bar ($5.50 with Albany sales tax).

The second batch for March is a scented version. Made with olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil, French green clay, and scented with eucalyptus and spearmint essential oils. This one also has the textured top from soap shreds. Once again, I’m a little late so this will also be ready for the second week of March. I will have 10 bars.

I did not like the cut from yesterday’s experiment so I pivoted. March will have solid green soap with a textured top of soap shreds. This loaf will give me 10 bars and is fragrance free. I’m a little late 🤦‍♀️ so this will be ready the second week of March. This is made with olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil, and French green clay for color. Fragrance free for those who are scent sensitive.

Experimenting today for March. This one is fragrance free and has shreds and blocks of green soap. The green shreds are muted and I’m not expecting them to to show against the cream color of the base. The blocks hopefully will look like a mosaic design. If this looks like what I pictured then I’ll try again with the scented option. If not, I will make a solid green scented soap for March. ****edit*** This did not look as I imagined. It’s so ugly 😵‍💫
