Nature’s Finest, Artfully Made – Exquisite small-batch skincare for luminous, lasting beauty. Loving what I do, doing what I love!

After retiring from the Air Force in 2014, I was able to devote more time and effort doing the things I love most. One of my favorite things to do is creating natural skincare using essential oils and herbs. Growing up on our family-owned herb farm in Ohio, I learned quite a bit about the benefits and importance of herbs and natural remedies and wanted to rekindle that. Realizing that my talents c

Where there's a will, there's a way. 💚

Today was a big milestone. My first time making products in over a month! Recovery may have changed how I'm working, but it hasn't stopped me. Don't worry, I'm working within my limitations and not overdoing it. I'm just easing back into doing what I love.

Pictured here, I'm making my body oils, and let me tell you, they were absolute skin savers during my recovery. My skin felt drier than ever, but these oils kept it hydrated, soft, and healthy. They absorb beautifully and pair well with body creams and whipped body butters for even more hydration.

I've already had requests for these, so I want to make sure they're ready when I reopen.

One step at a time, with God's healing hands leading the way. 💚

The last month has taught me a lot about listening to my body.

Along with following my doctor's treatment plan, red light therapy, heat, ice, and two handcrafted products have become staples in my recovery toolkit. They've brought me so much comfort that I've often needed less of my prescribed pain medication, which has also meant fewer stomach issues for me.

My own Deep Muscle & Joint Cream has been my go to for its cooling sensation when swelling has been at its worst. My friend Stephanie's Rapid Relief from Lady Lavender's Garden has been my favorite for its warming warmth whenever my muscles have been especially tight or fatigued.

Honestly, using both together has been the best of both worlds.

This journey has reminded me how much I appreciate handcrafted products that have helped ease my discomfort. I truly believe that when someone pours their heart into creating something, God blesses the work of their hands.

Stephanie, thank you for creating something that has been part of my recovery. ❤️

✨ A Little Sneak Peek! ✨

Before my hip surgery, I started developing a brand new addition to my skincare line, and I'm excited to finally share a glimpse of what's coming!

One thing I've noticed over the past year is that my skin doesn't feel as firm as it once did, and I've started seeing a few more fine lines and wrinkles. Since I only create products that I truly want to use myself, I began researching peptides.

Peptides are among the most researched cosmetic ingredients for helping improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, skin firmness, elasticity, and hydration with consistent use.

My goal is to create a peptide serum that fits easily into your existing skincare routine, whether you already use Gypsy's Lotions & Potions products or have favorites of your own.

My recovery temporarily put this project on hold, but once I'm back in the workshop, this will be one of the first new products I'll be finishing, with plans to launch before the end of the year.

I can't wait to share more with you as this exciting new product comes to life. Thank you for all of your patience and support during my recovery!

Hello everyone!

I wanted to give you a quick update on my recovery.

As many of you know, I had to temporarily close my business while I recovered from my hip replacement surgery.

Unfortunately, my recovery hit an unexpected setback. I developed severe muscle tightening in my hip and my re**us femoris (one of my main quad muscles), along with an unusually early buildup of scar tissue that essentially locked everything up and made movement incredibly painful.

Because of staffing issues, I wasn't able to have my scheduled two-week follow-up, so today, one month after surgery, was my first visit with my surgeon. The good news is we finally have answers. The muscles are relaxing, and now it's simply a matter of working through the scar tissue with time, massage, and physical therapy.

I'm now getting around the house mostly with my cane, using the walker only when needed. I've made it up and down the stairs on my own, today was my first time leaving the house in a month, and I even put on my own socks for the first time since surgery! It may sound like a small thing, but those are huge milestones for me.

My original goal was to reopen my website in mid to late July. Because of this setback, it's now looking more like early to mid August. I'm also tentatively scheduled to be back at the Garden Ridge market on August 7, depending on how recovery continues.

If you need anything in the meantime, please reach out to me personally. I still have products in stock and may be able to help on a case-by-case basis.

Thank you all so much for your patience, prayers, encouragement, and support. This recovery has definitely tested my patience, but I'm determined to come back stronger than ever. I can't wait to get back to creating products and seeing all of you again!

💚 Recovery Update ✌️

Just wanted to pop in and let everyone know how my recovery is going.

Recovery has hit a little bump in the road. I've had to pause physical therapy for about a week because of some painful hip flexor issues that we're still trying to figure out. I'm hopeful that with more rest and a little more time, I'll be back on track. For now, I'm just taking it one day at a time.

I still haven't made it out of the house yet, or been able to ditch my walker, and I'll admit, that's been one of the hardest parts. But I'm staying positive and focusing on healing.

I also want to say thank you to everyone who's checked on me with texts, calls, visits, lunches, prayers, and encouraging messages. It truly means more than you know. There's only so much TV you can watch and so many coloring pages you can color before cabin fever starts to set in! 😊

I'm not sure yet when I'll be back doing what I love or when Gypsy's Lotions & Potions will reopen, but I'll be sure to keep everyone updated as I continue healing.

Thank you all for sticking with me, cheering me on, and lifting my spirits. I appreciate every one of you. ❤️

Robin ✌️

🇺🇸🎆 Happy 250th Birthday, America! ❤️🤍💙

As our nation celebrates 250 years of freedom, history, and resilience, we're reminded how blessed we are to call this country home.

It was one of the greatest honors of our lives to serve this great nation. We proudly took an oath to support and defend the Constitution and to defend the freedoms we celebrate today.

As we celebrate this historic milestone, we do so with grateful hearts and deep appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy and for all those who have answered the call to serve.

Happy Independence Day, everyone! God Bless the United States of America. 🇺🇸❤️

Three days ago, I celebrated my 53rd birthday. Every birthday is special, but three days later I'm always reminded that my mom passed away on June 30th at the age of 53, the same age I just turned.
I miss her every day, but especially today.
I love you, Mom. Thank you for inspiring the path I'm still walking. ❤️

Just a little recovery update... ❤️

I'm officially 11 days post-op from my hip replacement, and somewhere in the middle of all that I celebrated my 53rd birthday! 🥳 It was filled with so much love and kindness that it became a birthday I'll never forget. Every day I'm getting a little stronger and a little better, and I'm so thankful for each new milestone.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, prayers, messages, flowers, meals, treats, and well wishes. Your love and encouragement have meant more than you know and have made this recovery so much easier.

Thank you, too, for your patience while Gypsy's Lotions & Potions is temporarily closed. I can't wait to get back to creating products and seeing all of your smiling faces again!

Until then, I'll keep focusing on healing one day at a time. I truly have the best customers, and I'm so grateful for each and every one of you. ❤️

With love,
Robin 💜
