Howdy friends! I’m feeling more like myself every day and so grateful for all of your prayers, messages and continued support!

It’s been a busy season with family celebrations, home projects and getting back into the swing of things, but I’m excited to say I’ll be back at Garden Ridge Market Days next Saturday!

I can’t wait to see some familiar faces. It’s good to be back!

Quick update! I recently discovered that the "Buy Now" button on my page had been broken for quite some time, and I was completely unaware.

It has now been replaced with a "Learn More" button that will take you directly to my website to shop.

I’d like to share a recent experience that might help someone who is under a tremendous amount of stress.

The past couple of weeks have been incredibly stressful, and I just kept pushing through. I started having migraine like headaches, which I never get, but I assumed they were allergies or sinus issues. Eventually, I ended up in the hospital and was diagnosed with transient global amnesia.

If you’re wondering what that is, basically, I lost about 16 hours of my memory. The scary part is that I was still functioning during much of that time, but I was talking in loops and repeating things over and over again. I have absolutely no memory of it. It’s like that part of my life simply wasn’t recorded. I was told that those missing memories will never come back. It was a very strange and scary experience, especially for my family.

They don’t know exactly what caused it, but tremendous stress is one of the possible triggers.

What I’ve taken away from all of this is that when we’re in the middle of an overwhelming situation, we can become so focused on just getting through it that we don’t realize the toll it’s taking on us physically and emotionally.

So if you’re carrying too much, stop for a moment. Step outside. Take a walk. Breathe. Pray. Rest. Give your mind and body a chance to reset.

I’m home, I’m doing well, and I’m taking my own advice to slow down when I need to. But don’t worry, I’m still here and very much in the game! I still welcome your orders and drop ins, and honestly, getting into my shop and creating things for you is something I truly enjoy.

If you’re someone who tends to carry the weight of everything around you, maybe this is your reminder to pause, breathe, and give yourself the same care you so freely give to others. ❤️

Seeing Practical Magic 2 coming out has me feeling a little nostalgic.

Almost 28 years ago, I watched the original Practical Magic and fell in love with that little botanical beauty shop. I remember thinking, “Oh my gosh, I would LOVE to have a shop like that someday.”

The movie also reminded me so much of my mom, Gypsi. She loved herbs and natural remedies and was always mixing up something special. There was definitely a little “practical magic” about her.

I had earned my cosmetology license in 1991, but life took me in a completely different direction when I joined the Air Force.

And somehow, all these years later, I found my way back to where I started.

In 2017, I created Gypsy’s Lotions & Potions, named after my mom, and began making skincare and botanical products to help people with their skin.

Now, 28 years later, I’m about to watch Practical Magic 2 and realizing that the little dream I had while watching the first movie actually came true.

Life really does have a funny way of coming full circle.

And maybe there really is a little magic in following a dream.
