Preparing for your hair appointment is about so much more than just showing up. Things like washing your hair at the right time, having inspiration photos ready, steaming your dress before your appointment, and arriving with completely dry hair all make a huge difference.

I also have additional tips on this as well, but this is a big one! 🫶🏻

I’ve had ladies show up to their appointment with rollers in their hair because they wanted extra volume in their style. It helps so much 🫧
We can also have you first to go and do pin curls. We can style your hair later while your hair sets!

This one is huge 🥲 I can’t tell you how many touch ups i’ve had to do because someone’s front pieces or curls completely went limp. If you’re already done, have a friend who has not had their hair done or an aunt step up to steam dresses. We don’t want to waste time touching up hair that could’ve been prevented!

This is another huge one personally! 🙈👀
I’ve also had tons of people sit in my chair and had no clue what direction they want to go with their hair.
You might be thinking, “well, why don’t you just start prepping while they’re looking?”

Sometimes I absolutely can! But other times, I can’t because I don’t know how much volume a specific style is going to need, what kind of curl pattern they’re wanting, or how the hair needs to be prepped to achieve the desired look. I’ve started prepping without having a clear vision before, only to realize we weren’t on the same page and had to completely change directions.
Now, I make sure I have a solid understanding of the style first so I can prep their hair intentionally and create the best possible outcome!
