Mapping shouldn’t just stop at eye shape! I like to customize the shades I used based off of my clients facial contrast, skin tone, and hair color to give them a custom shade that’s perfect for them. Shout out to for bringing light to this into this industry!

For this client we not only decided to do more of a cat eye mapping based on her eye shape and facial features… but I blended light hearts Everything Black lashes with their Berry Beautiful shade (which is a brown shade with a hint of purple) to soften the set and make her eyes POP! This is more than just color matching, it’s matching the clients undertones!

Here’s my explanation as to why my client had such extreme outgrowth in only 2 weeks and needed a full set👀

My client was going through a major shedding cycle. During her last two fills, most of her natural lashes were in the telogen and exogen phases, meaning they were mature and preparing to shed. Normally, your lashes are all in different growth stages, but hers tend to sync up every spring and fall. (Which is exactly why no one can convince me shedding season isn’t real 😂)

Because most of her lashes were in the shedding phase at the same time, she didn’t have much fresh new growth for me to lash during those appointments. She then started using a lash serum to help encourage growth, which caused a big wave of healthy new lashes to come in all at once. That’s why her extensions looked so grown out so quickly afterward and why so many of her lashes appeared to be on the same growth cycle.
