Back in March, I quietly started my Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner training. I didn’t share much about it at first because I really wanted to focus on learning, doing the work and figuring out exactly how I wanted this next chapter to fit into what I already do.

For years, my focus has been skin. But the more I’ve learned, the more I’ve realized that what we see on the outside can be connected to so much more going on beneath the surface.

Soon I’ll be able to incorporate functional lab testing to look deeper into things like gut health, hormones, inflammation, nutrient status, food sensitivities and environmental exposures—and help connect some of those dots.

I’m about halfway through the program now and still have work ahead of me, but I’m really excited about where this is going.

Functional wellness + skin health just makes sense to me. And it feels like a very natural next step for Face Lounge.
