Omg I haven’t had a Dutch oven cobbler since I was a kid. I can’t wait to try this!

One of our favorite things to make while we are out mining is Dutch Oven Cobbler.

It’s the only thing I know how to make in a Dutch oven but we’ve got it down to a science now. Save this post for the recipe. (We used strawberry pie filling for this one)

Dutch Oven Cobbler 🍓

Ingredients:
2 cans of pie filling of your choice
1 box white or vanilla cake mix
1 can of cream soda or sprite (we always use cream soda)
1 stick of butter

Dump the 2 cans of pie filling in the bottom of your Dutch oven, spread out across the pan and then dump the cake mix on top covering the filling.
Pour the soda over the top of the cake mix. Slice the stick of butter in to thin slices and place over the top of the cake mix.

Prepare your charcoal. You’ll need 24 bricks.
Once they are ready place 12 bricks on the top and 12 under the Dutch oven.
Let bake for 45 min
Then slightly prop open the lid for 15 more min to let the cobbler top crisp up.

Allow to cool a bit and enjoy with vanilla ice cream.

In an effort to reunite the dogs that were stolen from a Chandler home on Wednesday, March 23rd, a Good Samaritan and neutral third party has offered her side yard as a safe drop off location for the dogs. The dogs can be dropped off anonymously - NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

There are no cameras and this is a guaranteed safe location for drop off DAY OR NIGHT.
