Patting products into the skin, rather than rubbing them vigorously, can be beneficial for several reasons:

1. Gentle Stimulation of Blood Flow: Patting lightly stimulates the skin without causing friction or irritation. This gentle stimulation can help increase blood circulation in the area, which is important for delivering nutrients and oxygen to the skin cells and removing waste products.

2. Enhanced Absorption: Patting encourages the product to be absorbed into the skin more effectively. When you pat a product into your skin, you’re ensuring that it’s making direct contact with the skin surface and being distributed evenly. Rubbing too vigorously can sometimes cause the product to pill or be less evenly distributed, reducing its effectiveness.

3. Preservation of Skin Integrity: Vigorous rubbing can potentially damage the skin barrier or cause irritation, especially if the product contains active ingredients or if you have sensitive skin. Patting is gentler and reduces the risk of over-stimulating the skin.

4. Comfort and Relaxation: Patting can also be a more soothing and relaxing technique compared to rubbing, contributing to a more enjoyable skincare routine.
