Lily Jackson Hair Studio LLC

10 years ago I took a leap of faith and opened Lily Jackson Hair Studio LLC. I actually had a panic attack when I signed the lease. What if I wasn’t successful? What if I couldn’t support my kids and pay my bills? I did what anyone would do and called my mom. She reassured me that I would be successful and if for any reason it didn’t work out, she would help me out. Well, here I am TEN years later!! What a ride it has been!! I was successful and able to support my kids. I worked A LOT of hours and put blood, sweat, and tears into every ounce of my business. The flexibility of this career allowed me to be there for my kids. Every school performance, sick day, vacation, & school drop off & pickup. It also allowed me to work and earn my teaching diploma at the same time. Although I am working full time as an art teacher, I am still at the salon 1-3 days a week. As I am approaching the point of passing on the baton to someone else, I am reminiscing all of the people that have supported me along the way and to those I owe my success to.

Nydia Zepeda and I went to cosmetology school together and she will make a great addition to the team!!
She is now scheduling clients on Saturdays, so call or text to get on her books :)

Lily has long, thick, knotty hair. She screams EVERY time I brush her hair. As a last ditch effort, I got her a paddle style detangling Wet Brush, instead of the regular oval shape. She (are you ready for this??) actually voluntarily brushed her own hair on her own!! 😱 No prompting 😱 Because she said, “It was easy to brush her hair”. 😱
Are pigs flying?? 🐷 🤣🤣🤣
Just because I’m a hairstylist doesn’t mean I don’t struggle with my own kids hair too. Lol 😆
