Welp I can’t say I don’t try 😭😂

Content sometimes feels harder and harder to do when it’s always ever changing. I just want to post because it feels right to me not because I’m trying to uphold a front for social media. The ones who get it, get it. My clients give me the most amazing referrals and I’m lucky enough that I don’t need to solely rely on social media to gain my clientele anymore. Anywayssss the hair still deserves some screen time 😎

If you asked me what the definition of a hairstylist would be I would say a licensed professional who cuts, colors and styles hair. If you asked me on a deeper level I’d say

I am a hairstylist, from my own experience I’ve met the most beautiful creative people going into this career. Every level of learning and growing I’ve done in this career has also shaped me deeply as a human being and how I show up for others. This industry saved me when I had nothing.

The flexibility has granted me the blessing of being able to mostly stay home to raise my son as a single parent. I’ve been able to do the most incredible things (this year I get to go to Paris to work fashion week). Being a hairstylist means being apart of something bigger. Celebrating love, success, helping people regain their confidence from within. When ladies sit in my chair for hours you bind and it’s just something different.

I see my clients more than I see some of my own friends and family. They are like a different form of family to me. They are my foundation and my rock. It’s so much more than just a job. It’s my blood, sweat and tears. My happy moments, the most laughter I’ve ever had and the best memories I get to create. A hairstylist to me is more than a lifestyle. It’s a beautiful, crazy, HARD journey and one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself.

I’ve been doing hair for 8 years and I can’t wait to see what big things I’ll be doing around 10. Thank you endlessly to anyone who’s ever supported me as a client, follower, friend or family. You guys help me make this life a beautiful one.
