and it happens to every skin type, even oily. That is why your skin can look shiny by noon and still feel tight underneath. Same cause. Water, not oil.

So the fine lines that showed up are not new wrinkles. They are creases in skin that lost its water. The dullness is not age. It is a surface with nothing left to catch the light. Put the water back, the right way, and most of it softens.

Keep wearing your SPF. In an Arizona summer, that part is not optional.

But here is what daily SPF does that no one warns you about. It is made to cling to your skin all day, and a quick wash at night does not fully take it off. A little stays. Add the dead skin you shed every day, some sweat, some dust, and it builds into a thin layer sitting on top of your face.

That layer is your dullness, not your age. Light cannot bounce off skin covered in buildup, so your face looks flat and tired no matter what you put on it.

The good news is it sits right on the surface. A professional treatment clears that whole layer the way washing at home cannot, and feeds your skin while it is at it. The glow comes back, often the same day.
