Brow Tinting 101
We as estheticians must educate our clients.
Brow tint/dye was created to color brows and lashes. Most brands lasts up to 4 weeks depending on whether the color is a tint, semi-permanent or demi- permanent colors.
True tints only lasts up to the first wash.
Semi permanent can last up to 4 weeks. Demi permeant can last up to 6 weeks. Demi permanent color slightly penetrates the cortex of the hair shaft. Penetrating the cortex allows allows the color to cover grey.
Tints, dyes & henna will never “STAIN” the skin no more than 7 days. We as esthetician understand that the skin exfoliates itself everyday. If the skin exfoliates itself everyday that means that brow stains will lift daily. With the use of skincare products the lifting of the brow stain accelerates.
It’s imperative to educate our clients because many of them have unrealistic expectations.
