One of the things we’re most proud of at Modern Beauty Alchemy is being a teaching salon. This week, our senior work-based learner, Joslynn, learned the difference between soft wax and hard wax as Becca turned a body-waxing service into a hands-on teaching moment.

Becca specializes in full-body waxing, and her skincare approach is where calming meets corrective—restorative treatments paired with results-driven care, including support for hormonal and PCOS-related concerns.

I absolutely love how quickly—and organically—Modern Beauty Alchemy is growing. 🖤

We already have three of our five hairstylist chairs filled, along with an aesthetician, a nail tech, and so much more to come. But what excites me most is the community we’re building inside these walls.

Our vision has always been bigger than beauty services. We want Modern Beauty Alchemy to become a pillar in our community—a place where local artists, makers, bakers, and small businesses feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

Our gallery and retail space will feature artwork from three local artists, natural and low-tox body products, hand-sewn cosmetic bags, natural candles, car freshies, jewelry, home décor, and more—all created by talented people within our community.

Hair, skin, and nails are our forms of art, but at Modern Beauty Alchemy, we recognize and appreciate artistry in every form.

If you’re a local artist, baker, maker, or small business owner, we would love to help showcase your creations. And if you’re a beauty professional looking for a place to grow, we currently have one private suite and two hairstylist chairs available for rental or commission.
