Hey loves, I've been going back and forth on whether to post this, but I feel like you all deserve the honesty. 🖤
Starting now, I'm requiring a debit card on file for all appointments — new clients and existing ones. And if we're within 48 hours of your appointment and you need to cancel or reschedule, there will be a $50 fee.
I know. I know. And trust me, this was not an easy decision.
Here's the thing though — I'm not out here trying to be the villain. Life happens. Kids spike fevers at midnight. Family emergencies don't ask for a convenient time. I get it, truly, because I live that life too. I'm always going to show grace when something real comes up.
But what I can't keep doing is absorbing the cost of last-minute cancellations over and over again. Every empty slot means I'm on my phone — texting, calling, posting, doing everything I can to fill that chair — and even then, sometimes it just doesn't get filled. That's hundreds of dollars. Real money. Money that keeps the lights on and allows me to keep doing what I love for all of you.
So this is me protecting that. Two late cancellations within the policy window and we'll move to same-day appointments only going forward.
I love my clients more than y'all know. This isn't about distrust — it's about sustainability. Thank you for rocking with me. 🕊️✨
📲 DM me with any questions, always.

✨ Same hair. Same day. 10 minutes apart. ✨
Can we talk about lighting? Because this might be the most underrated part of hair color that nobody talks about — and it’s probably why you’ve stood in your bathroom mirror second-guessing your color at least once. 😅
Here’s the thing — light sources have color temperatures and they interact with your hair color differently every single time.
💡 LED lights — depending on the Kelvin rating, these can read cool and crisp, sometimes making your color look ashier or more platinum than it actually is.
🔆 Fluorescent lighting (hello, office buildings and yes… most bathrooms 🙃) — this is the villain of hair color. That greenish, flat, harsh cast can make the most beautiful dimensional color look dull, brassy, or just… off. If you’ve ever loved your hair leaving the salon and then panicked in your bathroom mirror two hours later — fluorescent lighting is likely the culprit.
☀️ Natural outdoor light — this is the TRUTH teller. This is where your color lives its best life. Dimension pops, highlights catch, and all that depth your colorist built in actually shows up and SHOWS OUT.
🏠 Indoor ambient/warm light — cozy, golden, flattering. Warm tones in your color will shine here while cooler tones soften beautifully.
Same hair. Same color. Completely different stories depending on where you’re standing.
So before you text your stylist in a panic — step outside first. 😂☀️
📲 Consultations & DM’s open 🖤
This is what customization looks like. This is what attention to detail looks like.
Listening to your client.
Taking her lifestyle into consideration.
Taking her current hair health into consideration.
Understanding her wants, her needs, and her goals.
Taking ALL of it — and creating something made just for her.
She came in with gray coverage nearly at a level 3, an old balayage that was pulling crazy warm with no real blend, and hair that was ready for a change.
But here’s where the artistry comes in. She doesn’t have a heavy amount of gray — so going back to full gray coverage would have been the easy answer. It wasn’t the right one.
Because if her goal is to go lighter, why would we cover the grays at all? Instead, we work with them. Blend them. Let them become part of the dimension rather than something to fight every 4 weeks.
So we rebuilt her balayage from scratch. Softened with highlights, a balayage, and grabbed a level 5 root smudge to ease the grow-out and eliminate that harsh line.
Then added 22” extensions — and not just one set, several. Two different color pallets. One rooted with that same level 5, highlighted with caramel and ash tones, and one pack of solid level 5.
Because blending isn’t just about length. It’s about dimension. IT’S ABOUT THE COLOR AND EXTENSIONS MOVING THE WAY REAL HAIR MOVES…
No more orange. No more harsh demarcation. No more gray coverage maintenance she didn’t need.
Just the hair she actually wanted — and a stylist who took the time to figure out what that really meant.
This is The Modern Beauty Alchemist.

Curly girls love me 🌀

Can we talk about this transformation for a second? 🤍
My client came in today with pretty, but flat, blonde — and we completely brought it to life. We added a soft root, wove in an insane amount of lowlights, balayaged some pieces for that sun-kissed brightness, and went a full level deeper with a root tap to give everything that grounded, rich base.
The result? Dimension. Movement. Hair that looks like it just belongs on her.
This is my favorite kind of appointment — when color stops being about “going blonde” and starts being about telling a story through the hair. 🖤
Drop a 🌿 if you’re loving this transformation !

This is what happens when you stop chasing products and start chasing hydration 💧
Curly hair thrives on water — it’s literally the foundation of every great curl routine. But here’s what trips so many people up: layering the wrong oils on top of dry hair doesn’t moisturize it. It seals the dryness in.
Not all oils are your curls’ friend — and knowing the difference is a total game changer. The wrong one can block your hair from absorbing moisture at all, and then no amount of product will save you.
Water is a curly girl’s best friend. Full stop. Curly hair education is part of what I do, because gorgeous results start with understanding your hair first. 🖤
Comment “CURLS” and let’s talk about what your routine might be missing. 💧
Something opened up on my Friday and I’m not letting it go to waste — I’m calling in a muse. 🖤
Whether you’ve got a look you’ve been dreaming about or you trust me to run with something I’ve been wanting to try, I want to create. No specific look in mind? Even better. Let’s build something together.

📅 This Friday
Hey loves, I wanted to take a moment to share something from the heart. 🖤
Every single appointment on my books is made with care and intention — your time in my chair is thoughtfully carved out just for you, and I give everything I have to make sure your experience is everything you deserve.
I want to gently remind my amazing clients of my cancellation policy:
🖤 Cancellations or reschedules within 48 hours are subject to a $50 rebooking fee.
🖤 If you’re thinking about changing or adding a service, please reach out ahead of time so I can properly prepare and make sure we have everything we need for your appointment.
I know life happens — and I always lead with grace — but I also want to be transparent: when appointments are cancelled last minute, that time often cannot be filled, and I end up coming to work without being able to serve anyone in that spot. Like any small business owner, my livelihood depends on the time I’m able to spend doing what I love with the people I love doing it for.
I also want to gently shine a light on my evening and Saturday appointments specifically. These spots are booked out 3 to 4 weeks ahead of time — they are always the first to go and truly the hardest to fill when cancelled last minute. By the time an evening or Saturday opening comes up unexpectedly, most people are already settled in at home with their families. Those slots are so special and so sought after, and I want to make sure they’re always being honored with the same care I put into holding them for you.
Your trust and loyalty mean the absolute world to me. Thank you for always showing up, communicating openly, and honoring this space we’ve built together.

Not every color service has to be permanent — and this is proof. 💜💙
One of my favorite things about this work is finding creative solutions for every season of life. My client is a retired hairdresser — she knows hair, she loves hair, and she still wants to have fun with it. Her natural color is fully white and beautiful, but she wanted a little something extra. After some consultation, we landed on two custom colored clip-in extensions: a rich red violet and a deep navy blue that she can swap out whenever the mood strikes.
No color. No commitment. No compromise to her hair’s integrity. Just a pop she can put in on her own terms and take out just as easily. She came in as a client and left feeling like herself — just with options.
Low maintenance, high fun, and completely her.
That’s what this work is all about. ✨

This one was a team effort ✨ Kelsey captured my brand through her lens, and I gave her the summer hair she’s been dreaming of — a true trade between two female creatives.
What made this project extra special? The color matching. I had to match her extensions to her pre-lifted hair through a phone screen — no extensions in front of me, just my eye and experience doing the work. Two appointments, a lot of trust, and I think we absolutely nailed it. 🖤
Her extensions were cut, carved, and layered to blend seamlessly with her natural hair — because a good extension install should be undetectable.

Anyone can install extensions. Not everyone can make them disappear.
