Amanda came over with delicious muffins, and we spent the morning catching up, laughing, snacking, and bringing her Starry Night nails to life. 🌙✨

I swear, some appointments barely feel like work anymore. They feel more like hanging out with a friend who just happens to leave with really freaking gorgeous nails. 😂

💕 More than just a nail appointment…

Deanna originally came to BEC Nail Studio as a new client. Somewhere between the appointments, the nail talk, the life talk, and all the laughs, she became a true friend. 🥹💕

And honestly, that’s one of the things I love most about what I do.

Yes, I get to create beautiful nails — like this fresh, soft pink hard gel overlay ✨ — but I also get to sit across the table from some pretty incredible women. Sometimes clients become friends, and I’m so grateful that this little business brought Deanna into my life.

So today’s nail post is a little less about the nails… and a little more about the person wearing them. 💗

A little personal note from me ❤️‍🩹

This past weekend, my family experienced the very sudden and unexpected loss of my grandmother, Lynda.

Lynda married my grandfather 18 years ago, and although she came into my life later, she has been my grandmother for half of my life. Her loss has left our family heartbroken, and my heart especially aches for my grandfather as he navigates the loss of his wife and partner of 18 years.

I wanted to share this because some of you had appointments that needed to be rescheduled this weekend, and as our family makes arrangements and we move through the coming days, I may need to make additional changes to my schedule.

I also ask for a little extra patience with me when it comes to messages and response times. I promise I will get back to everyone—I just may not be quite as quick as I normally try to be.

To everyone who has already shown me such kindness, patience, and understanding, thank you. It means more to me than you know.

If you’re someone who prays, I would be so grateful if you would keep my grandfather and our family in your prayers. And if not, please just keep us in your hearts as we navigate this very unexpected loss.

There’s something about sitting down at my nail desk, pulling out my brushes, and getting to create again that just feels right. Nail art has always been such a creative outlet for me — honestly, art is a little bit of therapy.

I finished this custom press-on set today and had so much fun bringing all of the deep blues, shimmer, gold, and tiny details together. ✨

I’m officially back in the studio and looking forward to all of the pretty sets ahead this fall.
