Our relationship has always been a tricky one at best, but at the end of the day my mom is the only one who holds me accountable, grounded, and solid.

The day she told me she was diagnosed with breast cancer I forgot I was in the Army and tried to book a flight to leave everything on hold and fly home. I didn’t think about chain of command, what I was doing in the moment, I just heard a voice to get to my mom immediately. It wasn’t until she told me to stop. My mom knew I would dropped everything in the heat of the moment. She’s always known that regardless if we at each other’s throats I’ll move mountains to get to her. Pretty much like the movies portray it! 😅

I push myself hard not only for me but for mom. She has overcome many many obstacles with God and stability on her side. Cancer came and she stood strong through the battle and succeeded .🙌🏽 Although she may still pushes my buttons, she’ll always come before all else. So, to you cancer, you tried with this one. Not sorry that you failed miserably. So f**k off! She living her second life!💯
