Posted up in bed after receiving my 2nd dose of the vaccine, and when boredom strikes and I can’t move one of my arms I decided to cut a longer version of the soap pouring I posted to reels a couple days ago. Here I played around with a different pouring style in my slab mold last weekend, it was so fun! I didn’t have any specific plan for how I wanted the design to come out, I just poured to my hearts content 😂. But really though, letting go of the need for perfection for this soap was so freeing and was exactly what I needed to feel inspired by soap art again. My slab mold truly felt like a canvas that I was painting on. This design reminds of ocean swirls, what do you think?

One thing I treasure while running this small business is packing up your orders (Yes, really 🤓)
I’ve started making and including business cards plus a card with a short description for soap care. Both of these cards are stamped onto recycled cardboard that I save from food/beverage boxes to get a second life out of packaging that often gets discarded, but can always be reused (plus all the fun colors!). I found this idea here on IG a couple months ago but can’t quite remember where. Swipe to the second and third pictures to check it out.

Another attempt at the Kiss pour technique for the , I think I missed the deadline 🙈 but that’s alright! Still had a lot of fun playing around with this technique. I’ll plane these up tonight and post a picture of the end result tomorrow! This is scented in an essential oil blend I made of peppermint, eucalyptus, lavender, and rosemary. It is so refreshing!

Super excited with how my latest batch of Ocean Spray turned out! Now these just need another couple weeks to cure, bevel, and then plane the tops to even them out.
