Marigold and Mint Botanicals

A joyful explosion of seasonal color to celebrate beautiful Taha Ebrahimi and Tom. Taha is the author of the much loved book, Street Trees of Seattle, and she wanted plenty of local texture and a vibrant palette of her favorite blues and oranges.

I could not resist this beautiful cauliflower from the farmers market on Whidbey island. We played around experimenting with it all afternoon and then made tacos with it in the evening. It was delicious.

Join us next Saturday at General Porpoise Doughnuts in Pioneer Square for a floral workshop celebrating fall.

The final flowers of the year are blooming - marigolds, chrysanthemums, fruiting branches and berries. Let’s celebrate the abundance of fall color before winter sets in and learn to express our own personal voice through our design choices.

We will teach you how to make a beautiful arrangement using the most interesting seasonal flowers and foliage. Everything you need will be provided and you will take home a gorgeous arrangement and enough knowledge to continue arranging at home. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

The class will be held in the back room at General Porpoise Doughnuts, 401 1st Ave S in Pioneer Square.

Reserve your spot via link in bio.

Dahlias from Upland City Gardens dancing with cosmos and tomatoes from my garden. Photos by Christian J Petersen. Hard to say goodbye to all this color and sunlight but the wheel keeps turning and the seasons are ready to bring us chrysanthemums and rose hips. Thankful for the opportunity to make this joyful sunburst and grateful to all the growers and farmers for a beautiful season. I hope we all get some restful months ahead. 🩷
