Camping last weekend was an adventure indeed! 🏕 Forecast was very wet & very cold but my buddy and I are true PNWesterners & didn't let that deter us. It was supposed to be friday to sunday w/disc golf @ Crystal Mountain on Sunday when the weather was going to be pretty good. 🥏⛳️

We got camp set up pretty quick friday evening to get all our gear under cover. Had a fabulous dinner. Struggled with the fire since the only wood around was soaking wet. NBD😅

Next morning we went into enumclaw to pick up some extra warm clothes and while we had reception checked the forecast. Snow ❄️ crap. Well fine...it's fine we just need to make it to sunday right? Got many bundles of dry wood to take back. 👌🏽

We get back & go on a hike. Hike was fantastic & got me warm. Even had to remove layers. We get to the spot, had time for a quick snack & a couple of pics before it starting hailing. 😖 ffs man!

Get back to camp where I started the amazing ramen lunch I had prepped for at home. Marinated eggs and everything! It started snowing while I cooked. Was super glad I was about to have something warm and cozy in my belly. Kept thinking if I could just make it through the night, disc golf was going to be beautiful. While I cooked, buddy made the fire.

Ramen was delicious and helped for a bit, but started to get so cold, regardless of all my layers. Sat next to the fire with my umbrella. It was my first time camping with this friend and I didn't want to be a wuss but it was about 5:30pm and the night was looking looooonng. Then, the weight of the snow collapsed and broke the canopy. No fixing it. My attempt at positive attitude deflated. I say "should we just go?" hoping I don't have to do much convincing. He says "like pack up and go?" Yes. Yea we should do that. No convincing needed, what a relief!

It snowed the whole time we packed up and honestly, it was beautiful but I was too cold to appreciate it. After getting home, even after a hot shower and cozy warm pj's it took hours to not feel freezing. I was disappointed our trip was cut short and we weren't going to see the Crystal Mountain courses, but I was grateful to be home with hea

Finally updated more of my website! This time the "About Me" page. It's definitely difficult and feels cringe to talk yourself up for the public at large, but one thing becoming a small business owner has taught me is to accept the cringe and post the post🫣😏

Another long thought of project that is finally done(well almost 😅)! I have an art buying problem, but I love supporting artists, so I don't beat myself up too much about it.🤷🏽‍♀️ It'll get to a point of having a bunch of prints that aren't put up and I'll tell myself no more art until the ones you have are framed and on the wall. This time it was work edition. Now they're framed, bets on how long it takes me to get them on the walls?😆🕙🖼

You might have noticed I collect them, both at work and at home. At work I have one for every season😊 I do believe it adds to the positive energy clients feel when they walk into my space. ✨️

Do you ever have a project that seems simple and straight forward and then it becomes the "project from hell"?!

This retail marketing was one of those😏 Took months! Printed wrong size, holder came from overseas so time and tariffs, holder not exactly what I thought so needed laminating, UPS doesn't have the laminating I need, finally have all pieces then realize I need hole punches and I do not have a hole punch🤦🏽‍♀️Aye yai yai!

But it's done now and I think its super cute 😍

I still have work to do in the retail area, but it feels nice to have some of it complete! On to the next project...😊👌🏽
