I moved to Capitol Hill when I was in 4th grade, and growing up between there and the suburbs gave me two very different views of the world.
One of my first weekends with my dad on the Hill, there was a gay rights rally called Hands Off Washington. It was the first time I'd ever danced with drag queens, and little me thought they were the coolest people I'd ever met. 💃✨
Back then, I didn't know anyone who was openly LGBTQ+ in the burbs of Auburn. Seeing people living authentically and unapologetically had a huge impact on me. It taught me that there is no one right way to be yourself—and that being different is something worth celebrating.
That's a lesson I've carried with me ever since. It's shaped how I move through the world, how I run my business, and how I try to make my little corner of Capitol Hill a welcoming space for everyone. 🫶🏽

When you’re so busy you accidentally almost run out of wax strips 😭

Thank goodness for my emergency backup stash… but strips are elite and the backups just aren’t the same 💅
