BTW, I reformulated my jagua gel recipe recently after working on it for a couple of years! As a henna artist, I love the improved texture and flow. It has a glide, a smoothness that’s closer to henna paste. It’s no longer “bloopy” like gel can be. I’m really proud of it! If you haven’t tried it yet, you should. 🥰🥰

Here’s how much jagua I use for different designs. I always get asked how much jagua is needed! It depends not just on how big the design is, but also how heavy/thick the lines are. If you want to do something super bold, you’ll need more. If you like super fine, delicate lines then you’ll hardly use any! A little jagua goes a long way.

Jagua works like henna, but the stains are ultra dark like permanent ink! Ours is all natural and super fresh to ensure you get the best stains possible. It’s the smoothest flowing jagua you can find! Jagua bottles are easiest for beginners, and jagua cones are better for more experienced henna artists.

I know I’m preaching to the choir at all my artist followers out there, but I’m sure you get this question all the time too. It’s one of the most frequently asked questions I get! Henna is made of natural ingredients and hand made by artists. A lot of people think there’s a henna ink or it’s an artificial dye. You should always be able to identify the person who is mixing the henna that you buy from. In other words, it’s not a big corporation sort of business. If they’re selling thousands a month or it looks mass-produced then it’s probably not the real thing. Always check to see if the henna artist is certified at ICNHA.org so you know it’s the real thing. Also sorry it’s so shaky, probably too much coffee haha
