Color correction round 1. This client came to me and did not want to do removal. Bc the color is pretty solid we decided that a combo brow would be the best way to move forward. However, bc the color was pretty discolored, I opted to do a separate color correction first. I want to get this base a nice color before adding anything else on top so we don’t inadvertently muddle more colors or make the discoloration just darker version of what it already was. This purple that you see is when it’s not properly corrected from a prior discoloration. So usually will be red or grey and the artist will try to correct but doesn’t use the right color and the end product is like this where it looks purple and bruised. Because this is fresh it looks a bit warmer but will heal to a nice brown. Depending on her skin and how she heals we may need one more correcting session but if everything goes well I should be able to finalize the look with that combo brow treatment next session 🙏 Guess what colors I used to correct the grey/red/purple? 🤓

A good old fashioned before and after. I love how microblading can make such a big difference subtly. The natural growth pattern of her hair was such an amazing canvas to work with to produce this really natural and low maintenance fluff. Actually zero maintenance bc I didn’t remove any hair- zero 🥳

What I love is the customization. Some clients are more glam and others are like “I just want them to look better but I never touch them to begin with,” which means I don’t want to create more work for them by doing a bunch of hair removal they need to maintain. I love that microblading can improve the shape in this way! . Here I didn’t remove any hairs at all, just worked around the edges of her natural shape. Now they will look groomed without ever touching them. Obviously a little plucking here and there wouldn’t hurt if there’s a hair really far out of place but bc the edges are fluffy and the color is natural it all kind of blends beautifully while not needing to be perfectly snatched around the edges. I get asked a lot about blonde brows so here is another pair. My goal is always to try and match the natural color as best I can. Even if the hairs are very light, by adding more it will make them look darker without actually making the color darker so it’s not necessary to darken the actual color. This will always provide the most natural blend between ink and hairs.
As always, fresh brows are a bit more red and the color neutralizes as it heals for a great color match and overall softer look, more natural look.

Custom shaping is one of the most challenging aspects of my job but also one of my favorites. This kind of shape can be a bit more work and creativity but so fun! While a more universal shape can work on many faces, a lot of brows also truly need a custom touch for the most natural and balanced look. My goal is always to try and get the best visual outcome while removing the least amount of hair. By working around the natural shape, you can get a pretty shape that suits the face while keeping things low maintenance. When there’s a lot of hair removal, things can look weird as hair grows back in and just creates more work. For example, removing the natural tail to lift it with microblading means plucking often to avoid looking like you have 2 tails.
Every artist’s approach and aesthetic is different so be sure to look research the different approaches and pick the style that most speaks to you.

This client came to me with existing ink by another artist. It was discolored and she wanted to improve the shape. I offer a saline removal method that works very well when the ink is light enough. For darker ink, I recommend laser- and actually a combination of both works really well when it’s very dark and saturated. For this particular client we did 2 sessions of removal which allowed us to get light enough to microblade again.
