Michael M Volz aka ***ranxietybaby is back at Coven Salon exploring more of their visionary textile artistry. Michael painstakingly hand stitches miles of thread to create their art and now, you can own a print of your very own! Prints are only $45.
In Michael’s own words, here is a brief explanation of their complex textile artistry. Stop by the salon and check it out for yourself!
Through the eye of the needle, Michael explores the art of undress and sexuality, asking the viewer to follow delicate single-thread, hand-stitched lines that trace bodies.
Working with canvas, and incorporating lace, organza, and other soft patterned textiles, the stitching invites sustained looking and slow attention.
Their work focuses on q***r embodiment, ambiguity, and the obscuration of traditional nods toward gender. simple lines encourage the viewer to linger in uncertainty and curiosity, resisting easy categorization or resolution.
The work holds intimacy without invitation and sexuality without performance, leaving space for a stripped-down, non-sexualized aesthetic.

Did you know that snuggling or cuddling cows is a therapeutic, nature-based activity known to significantly reduce stress and anxiety? In 2026 I encourage you all to experience a lil snug with the bovine kind.
This weekend we went to Goloka Farms aka Pnw Cows and lowered our blood pressure by hanging out with Zebu cows and Nigerian goats!
Rahul, Shanmuk, and Vrinda shared the farm with us and shepherded us through a beautiful bonding experience!
