Wahoo! It’s true! January 27th I’ll be releasing Warcube into Steam Early Access :D
It’s taken a ton of work to get to this point. As primarily a solo developer there’s been far too many late nights to count, meals missed and friends who thought I died.
But I’ve had some crazy support to get here, technical and creative help from those same friends, and encouragement from many online friends both new and old!
This is the STARTING LINE.
And I know it! My aim is to develop Warcube with a community of friends, and use the same excitement that comes from PLAYING games with friends, to MAKING them :) creating a game has been something I’ve wanted to do since childhood, and now that I get to, I want to make it the way I would have back then. With YOU.
I have a vision for Warcube and will always do my best to describe it. But at the same time, how YOU play the game, YOUR feedback, and US talking about it is going to shape how it grows. And I value that more than my initial vision.
Early Access makes better games.
I firmly believe this, and wouldn’t even dream of doing Early Access unless I did. When people come together to help make a game, everyone wins. The developer gets honest feedback and is able to improve the game before it’s done, while players and friends get the satisfaction of knowing they helped create a BETTER GAME. The game you play on January 27th will probably very different from the final version, and that’s what I want :)
I’m sure I could say a lot more, but I’ll shut up now :) I really care about you guys, and I really care about Warcube. So my hope is that we make Warcube an absolutely incredible game, and that when it leaves Early Access, we can be proud of the work we’ve done.
So that in 10 years when people look back, they don’t just see a fun game, but a game that was fun to make.
Don’t be a stranger :)

P.s. This probably goes without saying, but on January 27th let’s make some noise! Tell anyone who you think might like Warcube about it :) whether they’re your coworker, friend in class, or favorite youtuber/streamer. It’d mean the world to me :)

A "beauty pause" mode :D double tap ESC (or press the little eyeball button on the pause screen) to go into slow mo and hide the UI :D ...just gotta hide that spaz cursor ;) and don't mind my debug text! :P
